ARK: Survival Ascended Survival Experience

Return to the island-survival premise in a separately sold Unreal Engine 5 remake. Food, drinking water, temperature, dangerous creatures, and other survivors shape preparation, gathering, and exploration. Combat and creature management are substantial parts of the experience.

Survival Loop and Progression

Harvest materials, craft equipment, construct bases, farm, and tame, ride, or breed prehistoric creatures. Technology and boss progression give survival a longer direction. The Island and multiple remade maps are playable, but advertised access and older roadmap dates are not proof that every planned map has arrived. Bob’s Tall Tales and other additional content are separate purchases.

Modes and Availability

Available as a paid game on Windows, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Steam still labels it Early Access. Solo, online cooperative or competitive play, cross-platform multiplayer, and two-player split-screen are supported, subject to the chosen platform and server setup. No performance or feature-parity guarantee follows from that support. The linked trailer dates from the 2023 Early Access launch.
