Subnautica 2 Survival Experience

Become stranded on an unfamiliar alien ocean world after a colony voyage goes wrong. In Survival mode, food, drinking water, and oxygen limit exploration, while strange creatures and deep environments make each return to shelter important.

Survival Loop and Progression

Gather resources, scan organisms and technology, craft diving equipment, and customize underwater bases. Oxygen supplies and upgrades support longer expeditions, while the Tadpole submersible opens further exploration. Story discoveries investigate why the ship’s AI insists that the mission continue, but additional biomes, equipment, and narrative remain in development rather than forming a completed escape campaign.

Modes and Availability

Available as a paid Early Access game on Windows and Xbox Series X|S, where it is sold as Game Preview. Play solo or online co-op with up to three friends, for four players total; cross-platform co-op is supported. Xbox Play Anywhere applies to the Microsoft Store purchase, not a Steam copy.
