The Flame in the Flood Survival Experience

Travel with Scout and her dog through a flooded, post-societal America, balancing food, water, warmth, rest, and medical needs. The river offers a route forward but also limits where and when you can stop to replenish supplies.

Survival Loop and Progression

Forage landing sites, hunt or evade wildlife, craft clothing and traps, and treat injuries or other afflictions. Rain and cold make dry refuge valuable. Upgrade the raft with storage, a sleeping shelter, and a stove so it can sustain life between stops rather than serving only as transport. Campaign provides a directed journey, while Endless mode supports continued river survival.

Modes and Availability

Available as a paid solo game on Windows, macOS, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. The console Complete Edition includes gameplay enhancements and director’s commentary. Campaign difficulty and Endless mode have different recovery rules, so death should not be treated as unconditional permadeath across every mode. The setting is river wilderness rather than open-ocean survival.
